We are travelling around in our RV one day and Mother Nature puts out her hand, palm up, and says, “here you go guys, enjoy this!”
Then we drove into The Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. Wow, wow, wow, is all we could say. The rocks were soooo red and unique and they surrounded us. Even in the Beav we felt small!
Being the adventurous people we are we had to go on a hike and really get to know these rocks! I can already hear what some folks are saying about my hiking skills but you know everybody does it different! Critters are always a concern and I did wear closed toed shoes. I guess I could have used those walking pole things I see experienced hikers using, but honestly that would be just one more thing to get caught up in or hurt someone else with, if I were to go down. Just like skiing, I never could manage the poles then either.
So we did it and survived as well as had a great time. Kory did not melt although he was starving and of course needed a snack.
We filmed it as we went just doing our thing but it was really fun to edit. Enjoy watching this one! Then leave us a comment telling us about your hiking fun or faux pas!
We visited The Valley of Fire State Park in April 2018.
