1975 was an influential year for both you and us! Think about it. The things that happened that year made it so we could be sitting down here together right now, me sharing and you reading and watching.

In 1975 Microsoft became a registered trademark and Bill Gates and Paul Allen developed a computer program and a microcomputer called Altair 8800. Now I’m not sure what the definition of microcomputer was but I think it basically meant the computer didn’t take up an entire room, leading to us both having one and looking at it to share this info as I write. Also, the digital camera was invented. So there you have it! These two technologies have come so far that even Kory and I can film video and take great pics of the places we go, and the RVs we love (without using film). Imagine if we had to use film, we’d be engulfed by all of the cut footage that we get rid of. We can edit without being professionals and even I can sit here and share it with you easily. Now the internet didn’t become public friendly until 1991 but it all started back in 1975.

The other thing that started was the first ever built Winnebago Itasca came out, and boy was she a beaut! The 70’s in general was a crazy time for colour and style and the Itasca shared in those ideas fully.

If you were anything like me, you would see a rig like this running down the road and just ache to get inside and take a look around. So when we came across the RV Museum in Amarillo, TX. I couldn’t believe my luck at what I had found and how I could use my digital camera and computer to share it with you.

The Winnebago Itasca slept 6, had a full kitchen and even more functional full bathroom. Big windows and a V8 engine would have had this Class A motorhome humming down the highway. I don’t know anyone who ever owned one but if you do let me know in a comment. I’d love to hear of their experiences in it.
